gulfnews : Taking the vision forward

gulfnews : Taking the vision forward.

The UAE’s strength today lies in the decentralisation and diversification of economic activities. Abu Dhabi’s oil-based economy has enabled it to keep the union together, support other emirates’ development plans and launch its own ambitious vision to shift into non-oil economic activities.

Rubin Reports » What I Have Learned In My Long Visit to America

Turning and turning in the widening gyre

The falcon cannot hear the falconer;

Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;

The best lack all conviction, while the worst

Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand….

–Yeats, “The Second Coming”

What’s most scary in America today may be the deficit and it may be government policies, but for me the scariest thing is the way that traditional American pragmatism, an open-minded search for truth, the reliability of the media and of academia, has virtually disappeared in many cases.

I’m talking here about the media, academia, and the highly publicized public debate, not what all of the people are thinking. Clearly, a lot of people aren’t buying the conventional wisdom. But the important point is that it is the conventional wisdom, the main ideas held by the elite and government, what young people are being taught, and probably pretty much everything half of the population is hearing. I was in California, Iowa, Wisconsin, New York, Maryland, Florida, Virginia, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, and other places.

While this certainly doesn’t apply to all schools, the indoctrination that I’ve seen in one elementary school shocked me. If you really hear what eleven-year-olds are saying to each other you’d be amazed: accusing each other of being racists at the drop of a hat; thinking man-made global warming is a threat to their personal survival into adulthood; viewing America as evil.

Israel, US, Germany mark 50 years since Nazi trial < German news | Expatica Germany

Israel said Sunday the 50th anniversary of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann’s trial will be marked in Germany and America, as well as in the Jerusalem building where the case was heard.

Tuesday marks a half-century since the start of the historic trial of Eichmann, the Nazi bureaucrat responsible for masterminding the logistics of Hitler’s “Final Solution” — the extermination of six million Jews.

The trial lasted eight months and, in December 1961, Eichmann was sentenced to death. He was hanged in Israel on May 31, 1962.

Israel’s cabinet said in a statement that the anniversary would be commemorated by official events in Jerusalem, Berlin and New York City.

“There will be three main ceremonies around the world,” it said.

“In Jerusalem, where the trial was held, at the Wansee Villa in Germany, where the Final Solution for the annihilation of the Jews was decided upon and in New York, where the largest single Jewish community in the world is concentrated.”

The statement did not specify the dates of the ceremonies or give other details.

Planned Parenthood’s Assault on the Public Health | LifeNews.com

In the Congressional battle to defund Planned Parenthood, the predictable narrative of abortion, Roe v. Wade, women’s rights, and the separation of church and state has given way to a new web of lies. According to Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards:

“In attacking Planned Parenthood, the House Republican leadership has launched an outrageous assault on the millions of Americans who rely on Planned Parenthood for primary and preventive health care, including lifesaving breast and cervical cancer screenings, annual exams, family planning visits, birth control, HIV testing, and more.”

In truth, Planned Parenthood’s disastrous targeting of children leads to the very diseases for which they test.

To begin, all of Planned Parenthood’s sex literature for youth, young adults, and young people is aimed at children beginning at age ten. This is from their own publication “Stand and Deliver: Sex, Health and Young People in the 21st Century”:

“The World Health Organization defines young people as those from 10 to 24 years of age, including adolescents (10–19 years) and youth (15–24 years). IPPF (International Planned Parenthood Federation) uses the terms young people, youth and adolescents interchangeably to refer to people who are between 10 and 24 years.”
